Bilih or known as Bilis is a type of freshwater fish that is easily found in Lake Singkarak. The characteristics of this fish are that it has a small body shape and a yellow tail.

Of course, bilih fish processed into rendang has a soft texture. It is not uncommon for billih to be processed crispy with rendang seasoning.
